And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.

 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,

And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.

And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.

And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

 And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

The land had been in a drought for a long time when Elijah went to the top of Mount Carmel to call in the rains. As I was praying this week, the Holy Spirit began pressing on my heart that many have been feeling as though they are in a spiritual drought. This past season has served many purposes and produced so much in those who have been walking it out with Jesus, but as I was praying I strongly sensed that the season of the rains should be arriving. The cloud was being held up. As I looked closer, I saw a battle around the cloud that reminded me of Daniel and how the Prince of Persia was holding up his breakthrough.

Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, "It's time to call in your cloud! Call in the rains!"

I knew that these were not just normal rains, but rains in the Spirit that are holding the waters from the River of Life. I saw that these rains carry life, healing, and breakthrough for God's people. I felt strongly that so many have been waiting on these rains and contending with such persistence for their breakthrough into the next season, but things were feeling stuck.

As I prayed in the Spirit, I knew the Lord was sending angels to release the rain cloud. I believe He is doing that for everyone. Maybe you are in a season where you have been praying, and pressing in for what you know the Lord has promised you, but there seems to be a hold up.

I want to encourage you to call in your cloud! Even though Elijah prayed and didn't immediately feel a raindrop, he pressed in until there was a downpour.

Be encouraged beloved, the rain WILL fall! Don't be intimidated by what it looks or feels like. Be like Elijah and look with the eyes of your spirit! Look and see what is really happening.

You weren't meant to pitch your tent in the land of delay; you are called to pitch your tent in the land of hope! You were created to walk into your day of breakthrough!

The world needs what you are carrying. The world needs the message that was formed in the season of drought, and it needs the refreshing rains you will bring with you as you release the rivers of living waters from your innermost being!

"Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."

Be assured that Heaven hears and responds, even when it seems like nothing is happening.
